I have had good luck with the orange receivers, lemon receivers as well as the 6 channel spektrum receivers..

I agree with the orange or lemons there cheap and work.. or if you want to stick to just the real ones then AR610

I have a DX8 Gen1 and use the lemon receivers from headsuphobby. No problems at all.

I have 3 DX8's use two for instructing and one for most of my planes Motion RC has some nice 6 channel receivers with stability. which are easy to program with panic recovery and 3 axis gyro and are very reasonably priced. Once bond the bind port can be used as the 7th channel aux 2
