CarlGoldberg Extreme Profile nose in

Just flew today, and I think ShortBus jinxed me sayin it wont crash. The 5th flight on my CG extreme 330 the engine quit(I think I might have been out of fuel cause it was bone dry when I checked) when I was hovering about 20 foot off the ground, I tried to recover, but too late. Not to bad of damage cause it landed on the prop nut. Should be easy fix though Here's pics:

use CA if you can. epoxy in small quantities. also, milled fiber is good for loose joints, if you have butt joints or are laminating something, i would use cabosil

Easy fix 3D,

If the pieces mate back up pretty smooth, just separate them a little and squeeze a little medium in the joint, press the pieces back together and maybe light clamping pressure from the top to the bottom of the fuse. Let it dry naturally, don't use kicker, it makes a stronger joint.

Sand, recover and go fly!!!

I had a little tumble with my EF 540T and did a similar repair on my fuse. It flies great and is strong as heck.

I believe earlier in the year the runway was wet and sloppy. My buddy flies there and said it was pretty sloppy while another club's field was rolled and ready to fly from.

My Katana V2 ran out of fuel in a hover 6" off the ground. I pushed forward and landed on the gear no damage.

Moral of the Story!

I wouldn't be caught dead at the BARCC's field unless when I die my ashes are scattered there by some unfortunate mistake.
Our field is actually pretty nice I don't see why you should base it from the past. We have 2 rollers for the field, and a zero turn cub cadet. Hey thanks Boulder, I guess I wont use epoxy at all then, except where the motor mounts.
