Very Cool!!!! I saw a vid of once that another company had made. Very very quiet and oh so smooth. The only down side is the extra weight and lack of performance for the price tag.

That would be SICK in a scale plane.. (non 3D)
I wonder what it sounds like?
Probably quiet!

It burbles and pops at idle just like our little glow 4 strokers do. I'll have to see if I can find that video back.

How does it lubricate? These larger 4 strokes really need to be oiled.. Thats a heavy mass inside on those bearings and all...

Here's the vid.

That engine brand is the exact same thing RCS is selling.

It's a comlpete loss system, just mix your fuel like you do for your 2 stroke gassers. No oil pan or anything fancy like that.

Does it draft into the crankcase? Otherwise...how does it lubricate? If it is lubed from ring blow by,count me out.Go fire up your lawn mower and run it on premix and drain all the oil.See my point? Looks neat.

I'd say the bottom end lubes the same way Saitos do and they seem to last forever. But I would like to know how the pushrods and rockers get lubed?

I agree Red, but some cowled motors might be a little hard to get to the pushrods.

This thing has a ton of potential. Just imagine this motor modified to work with a micro supercharger at around 15 psi.....now your talking some serious power. It would be expensive but it would be way too cool.

Re: rcs 4 stroke

2 stroke glow = 1.3*4 stroke glow = 1.3*2 stroke gas = 1.3*1.3*4 stroke gas

Let see. According to above, it has the power of 1.60 glow.

Hmm $300 for os 160 or $1000 for rcs for same power.

Re: rcs 4 stroke

Red,

I doubt to many guys are out to 3D with that little chuffer but for some scale projects it would be unbeatable. To many the sound alone would warrant the cost.

On power we need to remeber Hp is one of the greatest myths in RC. If we were real and measured our engines by the torque produced at a certain rpm we would have something measureable and meaningful.

The eariest fourstroke glow motors sounded and putt putted around the same as this gas job. In some competition circles they used the same formula as you and let the guys use twice the cubic capacity as a comparable two stroke in the beleif that they would be equal at best.

It did not take long for the engineers to start doing some serious work on the fourstrokes and before long they were the engine of choice. F3A is a prime example.

If someone takes the bull by the horns and does some serious development on 50cc sized fourstrokes they could easily outpower the two strokes. Again torque is the key component as opposed to just HP. Get the right mix and your in big business mate.

Mini blowers, nitro, alcohol based fuels. The sky is the limit with four stroke technology.
