The 357th FG produced the most Aces (42). You could modify the scheme to many famous p-51's very easy. Painting the checkers on the nose is the hard part.

I was impressed with the P-51 when I saw it at Toledo and am even more so now that it has pocket hinges.
As was mentioned making this one into your own personal P-51 different than all the others is relatively easy given the base colour scheme chosen by the HH crew,
I applaude your efforts Dave and company and have on one order.
This is going to be my plane when its slightly modified.

Yep, sure is a classic.
I always alter my ARF's to suit my tastes warbirds. civilian planes and aerobats, that way I never run into anyone at the field or at a fun fly that has the same plane.
The guys here locally think I'm nuts but I enjoy reworking planes that have already been built for me.

Looks/10, drop tanks/9.5, new engine a little cranky /8.5,retracts/10, wheels/10,looked ez to fly but pro on the sticks, got to have one, over all 9.5
