Guys when using the DLE 111 or DLE 55 is there a performance increase with the DLE cannisters or is it not confirmed. Or is there perhaps a decrease in performance? If you have done or know of these test being done please comment here.

you should expect to loose a few rpm verses stock mufflers.

Better to get pipes.

I have a DLE-111 with DLE canisters on my #1 Pilot-RC Sbach. I also have a DA-100 with DA mufflers on my #2 Pilot-RC Sbach. Both engines are broken in. The #1 Sbach is ~28#-4oz. The #2 S bach is ~27+#. With a Mejzlik 28-10 prop, the DLE-111 has awesome power. The DA-100 has good power. For IMAC both set-ups have plent of power. The DLE-111 does not seem to have lost any power with the canisters. Noise wise, the canisters are much quieter. Either set up should be fine.

If I'm inferring correctly, the OP is trying to determine if the addition of cannisters will positively or negatively affect output of DLE 55 and 111. None of the Asian cannisters will add power, only equal or reduce from the stock muffler output. Even the better European and American cannisters would at best add only a minor amout of rpm if set up perfectly. Generally cannisters will slightly reduce rpm output. The new 3w carbon cannisters are still a relative unknown.

Cannisters are best viewed as sound reduction devices, not performance enhancers. If more rpm is desired, more expensive and much longer tuned pipes are required to fulfill the task. They also require a significant amount of experimentation with props, carb tuning, and pipe lengths to obtain maximum performance.

Guys again thanks for the feedback. TOM I was kinda feeling the same as you have mentioned but was looking for some input from others just to be sure.

SWK550 I guess you must have gotten the right header length and the motor and can settup running at the right temp to be getting those results. Well done Im sure it must be awsome and with very little noise

I guess I dont have the time to mess with the right prop and header and and and to get the same performance so I will stick with the standard silencer then,
