The Legendary Ultra Stick Makes a Come Back

Every RC Nut has probably had a stick type plane at some point. They fly great and provide fun sport aerobatics in a simple easy to work on design. Hangar 9's Ultra Sticks have been around for as long as I can remember and now there is a new version coming out. The Ultra Stick 10cc ARF sports a 60" wingspan and the same classic lines the Ultra Stick is known for.

This one is designed to work with any power system type you want, be it electric, gas or glow. It's capable of 3D flight and some crazy maneuvers by utilizing the flaps in interesting mixes. You can also add on a float set for water take offs and landings. This ARF is available for pre-order right now for $229.99 with shipments due in mid March.

Still flying my Midwest Aerosport kit built in this size. Guess I don't need the ARF but I'm sure a lot of people will love having this size ARF available.

Whilst you are entitled to your opinion as to what this product should sell for. I do feel the need to introduce some facts to this post.
I can confirm that based on what each air-frame costs us to buy from the vendor ( That's not including such costs as..... product development, shipping, handling, manual creation, marketing, inventory associated costs for the kits and spares, product support etc the list is long and complicated ) We would lose a substantial amount of money on each kit sold if we were to sell them at your suggested price point of $150.00.
I currently work with 8 different vendors in different countries, and unless someone can inform me otherwise. There is not a vendor that could produce the Ultra Stick 10cc to this standard and sell it to us at a cost that would make $150.00 achievable and sustainable?

Some more facts. The big Sukhoi and the 300X were, and always have been made in completely different factories.

I am not aware of a deal being made by any vendor that we work with to produce ARTF aircraft for Real flight. As far as I was aware. Real flight are a computer simulator producer? As stated in previous posts. Maybe you mean Extreme flight? In which case. I am still not aware of any Exclusivity agreement. I have not been informed by any of our vendors that they are no longer producing aircraft for us based on an exclusivity agreement with any company.

Sorry for the long response. I hope the facts add some closure to any hearsay that maybe floating about? Unlike the model industry to have inaccurate rumors floating about I know (Sarcasm )

If anyone has any questions regarding the U.S 10cc. Feel free to ask. I will try to keep the answers short

Ali, for the record, Im hoping Hangar 9 DOES NOT start producing cheap $150 airframes that are crap. I would rather pay for quality. I tried to cut corners on my first 50cc gasser. Never again! My Hangar 9 Extra 300 is going strong for 3 seasons now. Can't say that for the cheap model I tried to start with.
