Will you use standard ultracoat colors or what I sprayed on the full sale which was $2500/gallon tri coat yellow?
I will be using the standard colors so as not to add any more weight than I have to. There are a couple of nice large scale Pitts ARF's out there as an alternative for me to just have fun with. Being that you were the builder and such it would not take a whole lot of info/details/prodding to get me to go scale with this one, it's not to late!!

Just glued in the last piece of balsa on the lower wing halves. Back to finishing up the fuse tomorrow.
As for the Bulldog.
Last year when I received this kit of which was a gift for building another fella one, I had all intensions of going all out on scale. But shortly there after, whilst building the other fellas, EMHW decided they were going to put out a new airframe and it was to be Bulldog specific. From the photos I have seen it is without question the absolute airframe for doing the Bulldog and at 109" ws will be a beast. At that point in time is when I decided to do this Challenger as a fun fly and wait for the EMHW Bulldog which will be late this year. Whilst typing this I am even considering not doing this airframe as the Bulldog and just save that scheme for the big one.

The pics bellow are of the one I built for the fella in California. His choice in airframe, scheme, and everything.

Well, maybe I'll post over there. Seems they have perked up a bit here of late.
Change of plans for today and tomorrow, the wife asked that I remove a tree. And as you all know "A happy wife is a happy life"!
Of course I also subscribe to the same in the opposed direction.

Worked on the tree all day and am drag ass tired. But, I still like to get something done on the build each day. So, I am slowly working on the struts, they're easy enough.

After a day of tree work my body said not again today. So, I have finished the struts, mounted the right wing along with the strut.

I have covered turtle decks with balsa, plastic (Plexiglas), fiberglass, and even G10. But this one with the 1/64th ply was a real pain. It was just stiff enough to need strong measures but soft enough to move around. What I mean is, once it was pulled down on one end clamped the other end would pull out. Pull that end right and the other end pulled out. But I finally got it, I think, also started the nose sheeting. That will be about it for the day and tomorrow I will be back on that tree, wish me luck.....
