Cub Cowl

I have a 1/3 scale super cub scratch built from BUSA plans. I didn't like the way it flew so I took the tail apart and changed the incidence'and now I have taken the G-62 off and am installing a DA 100. Question - Gonna need a slightly larger cowl and am thinking about a 40% Hemple cub cowl. What do youall think? Thanks. Nick

Hempels is 44% , that cowl will be huge, and will not fit around the firewall, Also heaps longer too

If you need a replacement you can get one from busa or fiberglass specialties

With the twin just get a cowl with out dummy engines an let the heads hang out - Kinda looks scale then.

SOLUTION: Starting 1/8 inch from the rear I split the cowl down the center and then opened the front 1 inch and glassed it back together. Now the plug caps fit within the cowl and I'm happy. Wish I knew how to post a picture.
