Wing/Fuse Gap help

Hey fellow pilots

Got a 3dhs 79 slick wich was electric and now mounted a da 50.
while assembling wings, I noticed the right wing has a gap between its root rib and the fuse on the most anterior part, it is correctly mounted and even nylon bolted, but keeps that gap, the rest of the wing is flush on fuse and left wing fit is ok.
Any ideas on how to fix this? Or just leave it as is?
I fly kinda agressive on the frame

Thxs guys

Not much you can do to fix that. The easiest way would be to add wood to the gap and sand it to the taper you need.

Yeah was thinking something like that...

Do you think it may affect its structural stifness?

Almost all these planes have that gap. The fuse tapers and the wing ribs is straight. Nothing wrong with it other then looks.

Is it the wing tube that is stopping the front of the wing from going on all the way? Seems like a pretty big gap.

Im personally not familiar with that exact model and I know you don't like the looks, I don't blame ya but as long as the anti-rotation pins are engaged far enough ... I'd fly it as is.

Ive tried fit without the wing tube and it doesnt change, still gap up front and you can even pivot it so it contacts in the front but looses fit on the rear section...

The antirotation pin gets good contact and support (pic)

Yup it annoys me a bit 🤣

To much gap for me too.It should have been shipped back when new.If the fuse has a tapper in it,the wing should have been built to match that, like any other plane.

If it's just a faulty fit of the root rib to the fuse, I don't think it would affect the flying characteristics of the plane. you can fill the gap with a piece of foam or Balsa and sand to blend.
If the wing tube is out of line however, them both wings will not be aligned correctly to the fuse. If this is the case, then you would have a gap on the opposite wing forward of the wing tube.
You could probably trim the plane to compensate for the misalignment if it's not to serious.
