Engine was made by Russell Stotlz......Known as a Husky-Challenger motor (Husqvarna cylinder head with the balance of the motor made by Russ at Challenge Tools)....if I'm not mistaken it's a 2.7 cu.in. with the modified cylinder head to take a small 1/4 x 32 plug (I guessed that by the small container taped to the top of the cylinder that should contain the plug.) It was designed for the Aerotech P-51, thus the longer 'nose' and 90 degree carb intake, and would use a specially designed tuned pipe).

Hope that helps....he made 2.7, 3.3, 4.4, 6.6 singles and 5.4, 8.8 and 13.2 twins the latter three shown below

Good job Bill, that tapered nose is pretty hard to miss.

Husky-Challengers are definitely NOT lightweight by any means, but if you were looking for a strong, reliable motor for warbirds they'd sure be the way to go.
I just have to find a P-51 to stick the 13.2 inline twin into.
