Here are some videos of Mikey flying his Airfoilz.

Wow this post is amazing! Mikey I think you should go for it. I don't think I have ever heard anybody say, "man this car is over powered" "man this boat is over powered” “man this truck is over powered” Who complains about having too much power? Thank God they invented those Saturn V rockets (Thrust-34.02 MN (7,648,000 lbf). Did they have too much power? You know come to think of it, I think these motors shot some guys to the moon!

Go for it Mikey.

More power please!

Its not always about too much power, in this case its too much weight IMO.

I guess the DA-150 only puts out a little more thrust then the 103. Weight might be an issue.

The DA puts out a lot more thrust than a 106, but if you add 2-3lbs more wingloading skyrockets, especially on a plane that isnt light to begin with. Pick up a 3lb weight by itself and see if you would be happy sticking that in any airplane.

I can vouch for that! I saw him do it..... I tried a 32A on my Extra with the EVO, and it was scary..... It reminded me of Fat Albert when they do the JATO takeoff.

Well I got the mount in today for the DA it converts the bolt holes from a DA150 to the 3W106. So the motor just bolts up with out having to redrill the firewall. I had an elevator servo go out last weekend so I ordered two new ones they should be here this week along with the props. Here is what the mount looks like and the motor on the plane.

Try a Mejzlik 28.5 x 12 you will still have pleanty of ground clearance. We are running a Kroma 180 on the DR Hobbies 2.6 and this prop works well.
