I know my raa home insurance will cover upto $5k in the car . Whether thats enough for u I dont know . House contents cover stuff in the house . I was told pics help in case of a claim . Cheers

Speak with your home insurance and your car insurance companies and ask the question - they are generally covered by those.


For the pictures - It's a good idea to often update the pictures- ideally with a newspaper or similar in the picture showing the date. When I had a huge collection of planes, I did this on a 3 monthly basis. Now I just have pictures of the engines in storage as I have scrapped most of the planes.

I had my garage (hangar?) broken into last year, and besides motorcycles etc they also stole 4 planes. My contents insurance covered this, and settled promptly too. At full replacement cost
Insurer was Comminsure.
