What is your 35cc aerobatic plane?
I know, not Giant size.. I have a 30cc H9 Stick… I hate it.. worst flying ARF I have ever had… that’s what I get for buying a cheap plane.
Anyway, I’m looking at moving everything to a 70-78” edge, extra, slick, laser or similar. There are so many nice ones out there kinda tough to make the call. The color schemes on some of the planes do make me reconsider a few of them. I have a used DLE35RA and a New DA35. I can use a power plant. I’m leaning towards an edge in the 70-75” range. However product availability is an issue. Presently I have the following 60” planes. EF Yak 54, EF Extra NG Twist 60 and Kaos 60. Presently, I am limited on size on what I can buy and transport. |

First - I agree with your assessment of the H9 30cc Ultra Stick. It is massively overweight for what it is and flies like it. I fly it only when the wind is fierce and something bad might happen, because I truly hate it. 35cc - my DLE35RA is in an older EF 78" Extra, perhaps Gen2. Flies extremely well on that engine. |

I'm presently flying a 3D hobbyshop 75" EDGE powered with a DLE35RA . Highly recommended.
looking hard at the 78" Extra NG powered with a GP-38. Thinking this will be a good compo too. Available from EF soon...maybe? Make a choice and get on the waiting list. Probably all the brands in those sizes are good flyers. So many choices... |

I have a trusty 78” EF Extra 300, bought originally in the red white black scheme quite w few years ago. It’s been recovered recently in a custom scheme.
This model is an absolute dream to fly; it flies like on rails, certainly much bigger than its size. I stopped counting a while back, but she’s cycled (take off and land safely) a couple hundreds times. Of course she’s had a couple rough encounters. I had to get help to fish her out of a tree once🫣 DaleD |

Aj laser is the best 35cc I have flown.. mine is about worn out and I see the new aj slick 74” supposedly weighs in at 10lbs.. about one pound lighter than the old balla laser….. and that is with the newer carbon fiber fusion design. Most 35cc airframes went UP a pound in weight or more withe the carbon/ply design.. going to order one as a replacement.. most of the 78” planes are clocking in at 14 lbs…. Get an aj and run your da35..

I fly a number or 30 - 40 size planes these days because they are so much easier to transport and get in and out of the shop than larger planes. My favorites are the EF 74" Laser and the EF 78" Extra ... any version. The Laser is just an excellent all around airplane but is probably best flown in a high energy / airshow style but is also great at normal aerobatics. This one always pleases me! Any of the EF 78" Extras are fantastic planes and feel much larger than their size. These planes like low and slow anything but boogie with the best of them at speed. These Extras like a 40 twin but obviously any good 35 single would work well. I'm thinking most anyone would like these planes. Now I would like to try some of EF's other 30 - 40 size planes.

EF slick 580, DA 35 ES pipe and promodeller servos. Only a few flights but I think it’s a keeper and I did the graphics myself
