The hangar 9 guns look fine, they are just a bit rough

The 3d STL file is 1:1, and I hvave scaled it to 1/4 exactly. And it looks like they fit perfectly.
I will be using the printed ones. That is plan A at least

Very good. I'm hoping someone here in the States will acquire the software and offer them for sale.

Just buy the 300 dollar printer, and get going
https://www.amazon.com/ELEGOO-Photoc...x=Elegoo&sr=8-

You can print so much scale stuff with it.

I have trouble getting a program on my TV so I don't think I'll be getting a 3D printer any time soon.

i also attached the fake motor on top with a strip of velrco in two spots so the vibration if any would not be an issue and also easy to remove anytime.

this plane likes to be a touch nose hvy at the stock cg point there it will land well and not float or stall. just an easy nose down glide with good flair when needed.

Has anyone added the wires on the tail section?

Fun fact: If you click the menu item:"Thread Tools", click "Show all attachments", you can view all the images in the whole thread. Then you can click on the image you're interested in and you will get an option to "view the post".

Sometimes this is a quicker way to search a long thread for specific information.

Cheers,

gordone

My H9 D-VII is turning "Sunset Gold", a rich glowing yellow a bit darker than Cub yellow. The wings, undercarriage, struts and front part of the fuse will be yellow. The tail feathers and back part of the fuse will remain "stock" white with the black trim to showcase the original ARF H9 origin. Trailing edges of wings have been "scalloped". I'm struggling about how to treat the cowl, cheeks, and radiator frame. Some planes in Jasta 11 had yellow fuses with red noses.

Will look great in yellow. I would probably not make the nose red

painless; Looks great. A red nose would contrast really well with the yellow.

I know the vendors won't do it but if there were ever a candidate for offering a RTC, this plane would be it. There are so many after market options for this plane, I would offer a RTC version with the guns and wheels optional.
An American, British or French counter version (I like the "Pup") in the same RTC version would be the crowning touch.
Come on Adi, talk to those Bean Counters at Horizon and let's bring it on!

RTC would be great! And an allied counterpart would be superb! I would love to have both planes in my hanger! I going with a full yellow fuse and black radiator frame. A little black on the front of the plane might help me stay oriented on an overcast day. Still don't know about the "cheeks". Probably not red, maybe metal/silver.
