Hard To Believe This Is A Human Being Doing This!

I was seaching the web for Yaks, and I found this. I thought that it was tough to do cartwheels.

It's not hard to do in full scale because they have so much momentum, and when they are at low flying speeds like in the video, the plane tumbles around like a rock, quite effortlessly.

It is hard to discern whom is copying whom anymore- it seems.
I want to say his routine looks like a model airplane routine yet ...!

Always cool to see full scale aerobats doing knife edge spins and inverted flat spins. Very rare to see though. I saw one of those kids that fly aerobatics (sons and daughters of famous pilots) at Oshkosh do an inverted flat spin at the air show. That was pretty cool.

Wow, sorry dude, but I have to disagree here.
"not hard to do" and "so much momentum" and "quite effortlessly"? I would guess that you have never done any hard, unlimited full scale aerobatics. Nothing you said here could be further form the truth. THe stuff you see him do in this video is pretty basic as well. Nothing new or too intricate, but very nicely done. Some full scale tumbles damn neer require you to rip the stick out of the torque tube to get the thing to let loose. A good and interetsing tumble needs to be kept in the rotation, no amount of "momentum" keeps the plane in. The only thing I have seen momentom do is work earthward and kill many people. After 8 to 10 minutes of this stuff at an airshow and you're sweating like a pig as well. "effortless"? Last time I pulled time I pulled 9.5 G's in my CAP I would say it took some effort as well.
This is of course just my opinion, but then, what do I l know when it come to this stuff?

Well said Mr. Chapman. There is nothing easy about flying period, but what you guys do in those aerobatic planes is harder than most marathons.

Those who have never pulled 6+ g's for an extended amount of time have no idea how much it beats the crap out of you. Doing 9+ G's just plain hurts!

I would never say any manuever an aerobatic pilot (full scale) does is effortless or easy.

Very well put.............and I must say I was impressed with the show you put on at The Thistle Down Flyers in Napolen, Ohio a few weeks back. ROCK ON!!!!! Matt pulled off a rolling harrier and a nearly complete rolling circle that day. I've NEVER seen another pilot even attempt this. Not to mention some of the longest tail slides I've seen to this day and he also was commentating the show from the cockpit while doing the manuvers. But I think you need a few more horsies under the cowl....that panzel had some balls to the wall verticle. He had you there. All these guys deserve a round of applause.....cause what they are doing isn't easy.
