Moulded fuselage.

Given that you are moulding the fuselage; I might be interested in one by the time you have the moulds done and in production.
You have no location listed in your avatar, but I assume you are in the US, is that correct?
I am in Australia.

Question:
1. Do the retractable undercarriage(s) interfere with the position of the main spar?
If so, how do you work around this?

Jim.
Watching this build with great interest.

I am actually in the process of making the molds for the MIG3, but I will not have the first kit available for shipping until Spring 2019. The actual plane construction will be made in carbon fiber and fiberglass. Fuselage and wing center section molded in one piece. Horizontal stabilizer composite. Outer wing panels can be ordered in foam core or built up. Ailerons, rudder and elevator in wood built up, split cowl, canopy and belly pan.
I have my ways of building so that the undercarriage wont interfere with the main spar.
Yes I am in the USA.

That's good, thanks for the reply.
I have 1 & 1/2 models to build before I even think of this one. So, that is no problem to me.

So we have some nice warm weather and I took advantage of it, in getting the molds done for the MIG 3 in 1/4 scale. I have about 80% of the MIG3 molds completed and all is left is bottom wing section and cowl. I should have all done by early next month. Around March 2019 I will begin fabricating kits and soon after it will be available

1/4 scale Mig3

This year I will be making kits for the MIG3 1/4 scale airplane. I have been working on this for a while next to my P40E Warhawk (another thread) also in 1/4 scale.
The MIG 3 has a wingspan of 100" and is constructed in fiberglass and carbon fiber. I will described later what is all included. Right now I am getting the molds cleaned up and preparing them for production.

The new Mig3 construction will have all composite parts Gel coated and carbon fiber reinforced. The wing center section is molded in one piece with the fuselage.

That gives more strength to the overall construction and makes field assembly and transportation easy. The wing spar (or wing tube) will be already built in place by us
All you have to do is to build your outer wing panels and install your electronics. The fuselage is constructed in two piece for easy installation of tail gear, and shipping purpose.

Once you have your tail gear installed you simply epoxy halves together.

Here is a list of what you will receive with the 1/4 Scale Mig3 kit.

Gel coated composite fuselage (2 piece)
Gel coated composite horizontal stabilizer
Belly pan
Composite flaps
Gel coated composite cowl (split)
Canopy
Foam core wings
Wood for built up wings (optional)
Wood for built up rudder, elevator and ailerons
Wing tubes for horizontal stabilizer and wings

Features:
Removable horizontal stabilizer
Composite fiberglass and carbon fiber constructed parts
Split cowl
Scale details such as panel lines
Plans for wing construction, elevator, and rudder
