Re: Hangar 9 3.1m Sukhoi SU-26MM

Hi This is my first post. Never posted on any forum before but feel I need to make a start.
I read most of the flying Giants forums mainly to get info.
I 'me in the Uk and hoping to get mine soon. I keep phoning Motors and rotors in the Uk to find out when Uk supplies are shipping. I hope its next week, but no info as yet.
Going with power box Royal, DA 170, Zimmerman headers and cans, JR DS8921hv servos all round, Tru-turn spinner. I 'me using three servos per aileron and two per elevator.
Mostly freestyle and 3D. Not sure which prop but probably Mejlik 31x12.

Welcome to the giants. The set up sounds good. Good luck on the build and keep us posted with pics etc.

Wow thats a lot of pressure awwww.

This plane will leave you card Board RICH. It is boxed crazy secure. My friends basement is half full of carboard boxes lol. Every one double boxed with lots of plywood reinforcement/ armor plating in the fuse and wing boxes.

Im not usually one to gush at how unwrickled an arf comes but it is very impressive to not have one wrinkle. Its not like its a make or break thing but its definitely nice to see. As of 5 am its still with out wrinkles.

Almost all the hardware is wrapped in individual pouches. The ball links and other items are in one pouch but all of the hardware is easy to find for each part of the assembly. Sorry no pic of this hehe Also a side note about the wheels that are supplied. They are the nicest wheels that I have ever seen supplied with an arf. though just not as nice as my www.airmanwheels.com wheels hehe

All the servo bays have laser cut guide holes for your servo screws no predrilling required

After a little work on the wings i got the rudder installed servos installed and then put on the stock tail wheel on. The landing gear is also attached. I bent the rudder wire in so it doesnt drill itself through my CF tail wheel

Oh yea i forgot to list all the Cons
-The screws suplied for the tail wheel are philips head and soft
-The supplied pre assembled tanks clunk is stuck in the back of the tank from the fuel line in the tank being to long
-The axles will need to be replaced IMO but they look to be 1/4 inch so you can get away with them if the nut doesnt slide off

I just bought the E-Flite Extra 32e and have the same comments about fit and finish. Horizon's got a great vendor building these for them. Can't wait to read your first-flight findings!

Hey Mike! Congrats on the new bird! Looking good. Still nice here in FLA, but windy the last week or so. Must be the March winds. LOL Finally went 2.4 last week with my new Futaba. Now to reset everything in the 30% to the Smart Fly. Hope to see you again this year. Should make it back up to TN. Hoping to make the Nall as well. Take care!
