Clipped is more then just wing tips on the TaylorCraft. I am sure if you still wanted the bow tips your could add them. The full scale clipping was by removing span from the inboard section of the wings not just the tips.

I have herd people complain about wasting there time and money on ARFs but never the time they spend on building, You cant buy that pride you have to earn it.

So buy a set of plans some wood or a kit and lets do what made this the best country on the planet !!!! and BUILD SOMETHING

A.R.F's Don't count

So thats Dr Evil's prescription.

The plans are very scale and very detailed they are for the cliped wing, The one i have pictured has square tips but the plans show round tips also. I'm building this the way Al wants it. Like most modifications no two airplanes are the same. The plans are worth the price showing you every detail from scale working landing gear to hatch covers. Even if you don't build a Taylorcraft the scale info on them is worth the price. Check out Ritchie Rich build you can see his tips

Guess I should have went back and dug out the plans before answering that question, I didnt remember the tips at all.

Are you building struts for the wing or using the ones from aeroworks like Ritchie Rich did? I know when I built the plans version of the wings years ago it was obvious they would need the struts for not only spar support at the root but also twist in the wing. I am curious to see how your wing build turns out.

The struts will be from Aeroworks

Shout out to the Jtec crew. Nice work. Keep expanding, the kits you guys are offering look to be the real deal! NICE CONSTRUCTION ON THE WINGS!

If you happen to build one of these and get it completely ready to fly and think. Hmmmmm we should probably give this to someone, I'm your Huckleberry!!
(Hey, a guy can set unrealistic goals right?!?!)

Hi Chris ya its a good saw takes less than 5 seconds to change blades and it leaves a smooth cut on balsa. much better than my band saw was. Its not a LASER but its a lot cheaper
