I see maiden flight approaching real fast
Plane looks terrific, the clear varnish gave an incredible look and the colors match even better after it.

Thank you, Ronaldo! Yes, we are getting close! I just weighed the plane at this point today and it was 14.8lbs! Lots missing (servos, battery, etc) but I was very pleased.

I took a bit of an artistic gamble and I really love it. I decided to go flat black with the gear, pants, and the spinner to tie in with the flat black trim. I think it’s sinister good-looking! I didn’t like the idea of sanding a polished aluminum spinner, but hey. Dare to be different, right?

Hey Hodge! Thanks for stopping by! Maybe so on the spinner, but here’s the deal. I got a killer deal on the plane and this spinner was included. As such, it was easier to sand and paint this one flat black. We’ll see. If I don’t yard-dart it and it ends up being a go-to plane for me, I’ll see about buying an ultimate style spinner.

Thanks for the props on the color scheme. I’m very happy with it. I think once I add the flat black trim, it’s really gonna pop. And, my favorite part, nobody’s got one like it. That’s what I love about building / covering - the uniqueness of it all. Maiden soon!

Excellent resurrection! Man, I wish i could find a 50cc. I love my goldwing 73". Ive had it for 9 years. Just went thru it all. DLE30 new ignition, walbro carb and power hd burshless servos. Very good flyer and is my first gasser. Set cg to the aft end of the maunals specs. Came out at 11.3 lbs. Flys like its on rails, floats In nice and slow, with no crazy stall tendancys. Almost every landing nice soft 3pt touchdowns , pulls verticle to the moon takes off at 1/4 throttle. Almost afraid to fly it because I probly wont be able to find another when something happens.

Shooting for a re-maiden this weekend. I’ve been staring at the plane like this, wishing the last wing would cover itself......

But I finally got after it. Aileron is done. Wing half done.

I’ve got some trim left to go but all major surfaces are covered. Tomorrow will be rigging and final checks. Maiden either tomorrow afternoon or Sunday.

Well, life happened and I didn’t get a chance to maiden it, but she’s finally ready. Came in at 18.4lbs dry.
