Not a lot of choices. DA, RCexl or RCame / RCXP. The later two sold by RC Extreme Power and other vendors like VVRC. They also have direct replacement sensors if you go the non DA route. I’ve had great luck with all of them.

CH Ignitions Call Adrian-I thought he had the timing shift but didn't see it in just a quick look.

How about getting one from the engine manufacture?

I agree but twice the cost. With a RCame ignition which is my favorite, (hotter spark than the rest),you can set the timing and know exactly where it is set at.Nothing wrong with DA ignition's I still have one in service. But I wouldn't replace it with a DA. The DA would be easier as a drop in unit.

Perhaps the spark plug cap is faulty?

The nice design with the non DA ignitions is the ability to hook up an rpm meter. Eliminates the necessity of having a hand held unit. I have a DLE55 with an onboard RPM meter and it is great.

Other than cost, I see no reason to switch though.

Be aware that if you change to a China box, the pickup has to be changed as well.
