Latitude Engineering, the company I work for now holds the world record for longest VTOL Aircraft flight. We flew over 22 hours and had fuel left over when we landed. The aircraft is equipped with a DA60 EFI engine.

I am not 100% sure of the size of the tank. I was not directly involved with this project as I am currently involved with the FAA Pathfinder project that we are working on with the HQ-40 Aircraft. We are a small company employee wise so it was cool seeing this project from the side.

Great post Kevin, Very interesting stuff..........Someday we will see small aircraft with simular epuiptment for VTOL.

I think you guys are missing the obvious. Kevin works for a company that receives funding from the government to develop and perfect machines uses for intelligence gathering.
