Re: Whose heading to Columbus?

Maureen and I will be there. I might even volunteer to do some calling for Unlimited, but only if you guys promise to tell me all the secrets to getting 9's and 10's. And don't give me that "practice" sh** either! Will be practicing at Toby's tomorrow (Wednesday). I was just carving some foam for my new pilot. One of those foam creations of some lady adventure person. Trouble is, they only go down as far as the middle of her bust. I had to add the rest... I just couldn't decide on the shape! Sure hope she stays stuck. Kinda top heavy now...

Also, still have my Lanier Staudacher for sale. $750 with 8411's and a Hitec 5735 on rudder. ALso includes built in custom cannisters and custom welded stainless headers for BME. Switches, wiring, fuel tank too. Pretty fair, I think. I'll bring it along. This plane got me the intermediate points championship, so it flies pretty straight...

Re: Whose heading to Columbus?

Here are some additional pictures of the field including 3 pictures standing at the flight line. Our runway is 1000 feet long, 125 feet wide, with about 200 additional feet of runoff on each end before you reach the bushes. Trees are VERY far away. Parallel to the flight line is a dam which is just over 1000 feet out from the flight station - no need to fly on the backside of the dam (water) unless you are doing a big roller or your name is Lew S.!

Weather forecast is looking good for the weekend - expecting a large turnout for the 7th Annual Columbus IMAC Challenge! On Saturday night at 7pm Mike Barbee will be having a potluck dinner and electric night fly at his mansion with a 3000 sqft airplane workshop!

Let me know if you have questions.
Looking forward to seeing many of you!
Take care,
Kurt Koelling

Has anyone had any experiance traveling the airlines with spare props in there luggage. My airplane is driving ahead of me and I am flying in with 2 new props. I imagine they will freak if I try carry them on!

No they wont get here until today and I still have to drill them. I think I am going to pad them up in a pvc tube and check them.

Wayne you got to make it!

budgetdude: that should work out fine. If you have them packed they should not mind. I have traveled with batteries for an electric plane, and a half of a fuse in my bag before... TSA liked it. LOL
