Myrtle Beach is a tourist oriented hell hole. Use cash only or you'll be sorry! As for RC related stuff.... pretty much non existent.

That's too bad,,, struck me as a place grandparents bring the munchkins,, would not want to be there in the summer,,,

Next time try Folly or Tybee Island GA,, way more kick back and less crowded,, and Savanna and Charleston are both great to visit,, we like going down in the off season,, not as much touristy type stuff open,, but much more relaxing than fighting the crowds,,

Tybee gets my vote. We stayed there for a week and really enjoyed roaming around Savannah. Eight Air Force museum is also there.

The question really is how long can the hobby shops survive when they can't get any inventory to sell. The shops around us that use to have shelves and shelves of four wheelers, are now empty. Planes will be next, or already is,sense not as many guy's fly as do people that run four wheelers. They say they can't get stock for the store. I know shops let their inventory run down this time of year for tax reasons. Maybe someone that has more knowledge of this will know.

Completely agree, but I think I've been seeing it on the airplane side even before covid hit. When the 2nd round of tariffs hit, followed instantly by covid, I saw a drastic reduction of available products even on E-bay.

With covid, my local grocery store can't even stock cheap paper plates. It makes me wonder, even more, how much of our day to day goods were being made in China.

With regard to vacations:
For a more relaxed (non spring break atmosphere) family oriented vacation , we head to Kiawah Island, SC. Awesome place, bike-riding with family members, golfing (if some rc guys do that), entertainment (used to happen in the market area), etc.

There’s no caffeine free Coke anywhere. None on the west coast that I’m aware of either.
