I am very new to the world of gas engines, the manual that come with this engine two page of nothing, that tells nothing. I need to know how to care for this engine.

what exactly are you looking for as far as info? oil recomendations, prop size? me personally i am using a vess 23a and using stihl hp ultra oil at 40:1 for breaking in. there is a dle55-111 thread here to.

Okay, changed the avatar and just received a shiny new DLE-55 from Ron at www.southeastrcengines.com This thing is a beauty. Can't wait to get it into a plane.

I just saw a DLE55 run this weekend. Sounded good. Better than the XYZ that was on the plane before.

Of course the plug on the engine was a blank white one. I gave him one of my new gapped CM-6 plugs. Why take a chance on something so cheap? Honestly the engine should just come with one. I'm not sure where the engine was bought or who in the US is selling them but give the user the CM-6. Even if you have to charge the extra $7 on the price. Put in there what works!

I just put my 55 in the air today after running two tanks through it on the ground. so far so good.

i have about 10 flights on mine so far and it is running strong. my aw yak is 19lbs with full exhaust and cant tell it is so heavy in the air. it has no issues with pullout or unlimited verticle. using a vess 23a but it was loud so i have a xoar 22/8 on it for now that is alot quieter and still seems to have the same pull. so far this is a great engine.

I have a 50 and 55 and they are both power monsters and start with very little effort. I love them both. 7400 on a Xoar 22x8. Blasts out of hovers. Lots of fun.
