This is a good example but they are all pretty similar in that they have two antennas and need to have them 90º apart if you can.

About 5&3/4" but the tips need to be protected so 6" on the tubes would be good. plus they could be trimmed, and of course the entire antenna won't be in there because there would be some separation from the RX.

That looks good. The only problem might be that the RX's are diff sizes for Futaba (the 14 channel is bigger).

Also, how would you keep the antennas in place? In my head it would be something to hold tubes is all that is needed, and not to hold the RX. Basically a better method of this pic so the tubes would not have to be bent.... these are car antenna tubes.

"Onshape" is basically like Inventor only free. It is considerable more powerful than Sketchup, at least for this stuff.
I think I will make a new folder in my Photobucket account, copy all the 3D printed models into it and make it public.

I'll look into onshape as sketchup does make me angry from time to time. I'm still rocking the original makerbot regardless.

I would be interested in a set of baffles for the aero works 120 freestyle.

best investment I made was upgrading my extruder. My prints were a night and day difference for both pla and abs.


FYI I'm an inventor fan Boi lol

I use Inventor at work, after 10 years Solidworks. I prefer Inventor as well, I think it is easier, especially setting up new planes and revolutions.

I'll have to look into onshape. I'm a 30 year Autocadd designer, but I'm still old school working only in 2d. Just never had the need to work in 3d except for a period of time when I used the 3d Civil package for highway design for several years.... so I'm curious to see how my brain takes to a different software platform. Yes.... I still type in all my commands....young guys that have sat with me get slack-jawed watching ne work, but I couldn't work from the task bar if you put a gun to my head...

Any 3D printer needs .stl models. No flat 2D CAD program can generate that type of file. Onshape is very easy to learn and is very similar to Inventor. And they have lots of video tutorials, and it is free for most hobby users.

No, I still have that cowl, but you are the first to ask for a single baffle.
