Hi all!

This is Mike Winklepleck owner of 3DRCFORUMS.COM and I challenge Jim Bourke to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge along with Supatim of Valley View RC, Hone1er from Aztech Aeromodels and Pete from Aerobeez! You know this has really gotten under my skin lately....while its a allegedly done for a good cause why not skip the stupid hype and just donate?

Initially I felt the same way, but I've seen the numbers in the neighborhood of $41 million that has been donated as a result of this challenge. Even though the majority of people taking the challenge just want a little attention on social media (and to be seen in a wet shirt), I'd say its working. I think the ALS got less than $20,000 in donations last year.

Agreed and Thanks Matt! It's been a very successful campaign to help raise awareness and to be honest I had only heard about ALS but didn't know anything about it. Now I do and now I support those suffering from it and hope that my small part will help the cause through a little fun!
