I bought Real flite 8 because of the VR and am very disappointed with it. I have tried all the tricks they talk about to get it to work right but to no avail. If the frame rate is not about 90 you will see multiple images of the plane, not good quality at all. It does work with some of the airports but you have to hunt and try them. I think they were a little premature, I don't think it ready for prime time.

I thought it was immersive and very impressive but I have a high end Alienware system

There was some "screen door" effect, its not perfect but the more I used it the less I saw that.

What Futaba Tx are you using?
What connectors/adapters are required?
Does RF8 really simulate your actual flying experience?
I have RF5.5 and the airplanes do not fly like anything like the real thing...
They all need a lot of modification.
Mt RF5.5 goes "crazy" when in a stall... like a Stall Turn...
Bad physics I guess.... hope RF8 is significantly better!

Rf8 is better in some aspects and worse in others. I have to modify everything to get the cg right on both sims. Rf8 stalls better. Phoenix is a bit more like flying in the air unlike rf which feels like the plane is on a ball joint on the cg. Neither is perfect and neither one really outshines the other.
