Mine arrives tomorrow as well, stoked to learn all its capabilities. I have yet to switch anything over to Xbus, but plan to swap one before Nall....

Hows the new case look? Anyone care to share a pic of theirs...

The new case looks great. I'm hoping there is a 2 place case availible or in the works because I have 2 radios now. A 28X and XG11. Dont plan on getting rid of the XG11 any time soon. Plus the extra room is really nice.

Xbus has been a pretty easy switch over to. Once you learn it you can set up a plane really fast.

I am soooo jealous right now. Like Craig said, keep the reports coming on how the radio performs cause I'll be ordering mine soon barring any glitches!

I put ours on a foamie yesterday. Spent the rest of daylight out tormenting the dog with it. Radio is sweet

I know my DX18 has nearly double the range of my 9303s- as far as I can tell the 28 has just the one tx antenna?

Always a good plan. Then after you know it works, you can put it in your expensive stuff.

Starting to get used to this radio. I started messing with it on Monday but the battery needed to be charged. Did not get to it yesterday and had a few hours today. Started programming my IMAC plane on Xbus. If your used to the JR language it is an easy transition, at least to me. But there are a lot of functions available. What is awesome is what used to be the balance feature is now output curve and is available on all 16 channels. So if you have a large plane that say uses 6 or 8 aileron servo's they can all be "balanced". I absolutely love the android keyboard. It makes naming things much easier. From what I have tried (at least in the Xbus mode) you pretty much name what you want on each channel. I also started programming the snaps based on stick positions in the snap menu. I also named each flight mode and there is also a voice that calls out the position based on what you named it. Looking forward to getting more in depth in this radio.

I may do a thread with the a short version of the whole plane build when it's done in a few weeks.
All I have left to do is the wiring and programing but I'm really slow.

Airplane Setup
On page 3-18 under New Model Setup - Airplane there are 13 steps to go through to program
an airplane.
In the 13 steps there are pages references pertaining to each portion of the programing. To make
it easy to refer to relevant information I made a printed packet of all the referenced pages and
placed them in the order referenced. This way I will not skip anything that may be new or
different.
