tony, looking at your photos from the other day, and taking into account what Ali said about the bungee tensions, I'm wondering if yours aren't a bit loose...

Yep, Ali and I had that discussion Saturday night. I rewrapped the gear on Sunday night. If you look even closer you will see I have one wheel on backwards also. ;-)

Replacements are available, but since you have to buy a new dummy engine with the guns and mounts, by the time they add tax and shipping it's $33...

there is no correct or incorrect answer to this as it's going to be dependant on throttle usage. On 12S 7000's, Ali has the timer set at 9 minutes and has landed with under 20% reserve on occasion, yet flown well over 10 minutes with more reserve on occassion. He flies it somewhat aggressively but is extremely good at throttle management. I'd suggest starting EXTREMELY conservative with something like 4 minutes on timer, check what you put back in the batteries, and increase timer accordingly. If I had to guess, I'd say you'll end up with 7 or 8 minutes, but that's just a guess based on all of our testing. If you treat the throttle as a toggle switch, maybe 4 minutes. If you cruise around WW1 style with a few touch and goes, probably 9 or 10.

I got ticketed by the scale police. The flat side goes to the inside.

When setting the cg on this should the horizontal stabilizer be level or bottom of top wing? There is quite a bit of incidence in the plane.

got my axle now i can finish the gear.......

is it me or has anyone else had trouble with the tiny pictures and the sequence of the assembly. seems they should ask to fit the cowl long before you build and install the landing gear. this is for sure not for the first time arf guy.. glad i have a lifetime of building behind me. and yes i had to swap out a blind nut on the gear mount in the fuse it was full of glue... pretty nice arf though.

It is not that critical, but I would go with the top wing being level.

That's what I was saying earlier. There are many steps where the photos in the printed manual are virtually worthless. You need to go to the Horizon website and download the manual, where the photos are hi-rez and can be zoomed as much as necessary.

The pics tell a lot, but I'm sure some details would be appreciated.
