it would be nice to see some high speed linear actuators that could fit inside wing

Go for it Cam! Just one ACDF should do it

Really interested in seeing how they fly - particularly from someone who has flown Cardens etc.....

I really believe I will pull the trigger on this. I have been waiting for something like this, and if not for anything else, it would just be cool to put it together and fly it and see how it does. I am really going to try to get this. I just made a major purchase (new automobile for my wife), so it is time that I do something for myself.

Do it Cam! I hope you’ll do a build thread and flight reports. This is the first “something new” I’ve seen in giant scale aerobatics in quite awhile. I’m really fascinated by this plane. I’m hoping it is light enough that it can hold its own with the wood 3D planes, while still being a great precision platform.

Cam, I believe the DA-215 will be at Joe Nall, if you get one, we need a build thread!

You can’t go wrong with the MKS 380s. I have done 2 planes with them and I love those servos.

2017 , He flew that plane amazingly well for a five year old plane , very aerodynamically efficient , I was very impressed with the 330 SC

Always welcome here! We would pick you up in dallas and then drive to Shreveport. We do it all the time.

Update:

I called and spoke with Andy today. They will have a container arriving in June or July of this year. However, all the aircraft on the container will be bought for in advanced, so if you want one, you need to order it now.

I wanted to ask some questions about this, but I believe my questions would get best answered by asking the people in Germany who are flying one or putting it together.

I have sent out a message to them to see if my plan would work. Just need more info before I pull the trigger.

As far as the DA 215 goes, apparently this motor fits in the front end of an extreme flight extra 40% aircraft. SO quite possibly, it should also fit in the nose of this CompArf Extra. But I am not 100% certain about this.

this is another question I have about it all.

SO once I hear back from the Germans, then I will update everyone here. Hopefully Andreas will respond to my questions I sent him on Facebook Messenger.

I saw this flying on the 3D line at Nall this past week. Really looked good from both an aesthetic and performance standpoint. Very impressive performance.

Until the Thursday noon demo with Spencer on the sticks.
During the first high speed pass/manouver, the main wings developed significant flutter...everyone around me saw it as well. I'm sure Spencer saw it as the remainder of the demo flight was all low n slow...so kudos to him for backing it down and still putting on a good show.
I don't know if the flutter was related to the servos not being able to keep up or inherent flex in the carbon rod setup.
