While waiting on a smoke muffler I have been playing with the flaps, mounting the cowl/spinner, etc.

If I wasn't 'waiting', this bird would be airborne by now!

Great job tailskid2! I am also working on my build and plan in using that same DLE 35RA. Wasn´t sure how to trim to clear the engine at the bottom of the cowl but I see you nailed it! Do you have more pics of the bottom of the cowl and engine?

I will take a few pics later tonight.

The smoke muffler required more modification and left the 'air scoop' portion very weak, so I cut it off.

The first pic was with the DLE Muffler and the second one extra material removed for the smoke muffler.

Thanks for the pics! Looking good. See you had to trim a bit but not a big deal for me! Not flying scale contest though.

Are you using or plan to use any SmartFly board?

Hope to run the engine Wednesday....but no I don't plan on using a SmartFly board, just the receiver.
