Interesting. Didn't know VH carried large planes (I have a couple of their EPP foamies.) The ailerons are too long. Not really 1/4 scale either. More like 1/4.7? After shipping the H9 80" is only $23 more delivered ($211 vs $234). Looks more scale and has little details like the faux engine and landing gear included.

Yup doesn't look to scale. Would be better if it had a dummy engine. Would of bought the H9 but wanted an airframe I could use my G23 on. Wanted something big enough to doing towing with but on the cheap side. The plane I really want is the 90" H9 15cc Cub. But I would hate to have a mishap learning to tow and ruin it. So the value hobby cub will do for now.

The covering scheme is the same but the planes don't look a like. Now if the planes were identical then it would be a rip off. Neither one is my cup of tea. Just don't like the covering scheme at all. I'd have to recover it.

Impressed

Got the 1/4 piper cub today. I can say I'm impressed with the quality so far. The color is more of a orange-ish yellow than in the pictures. That's what I was hoping for instead of bright yellow. It does come with dummy engines and decent sized tires. The tires are like hard foam. I'm going to use some softer rubber tires. The construction seems solid and covering is great no wrinkles. Everything was packed in the box good and no damage to anything. So far excellent value for the money. At least I think anyway.
