I do hate they do not offer receivers with more than 8channels though (must use dual rx or sbus).

I've been watching for the X24, it looks fantabulous, servo balancing, power distribution, redundant multi protocol inputs from SBUS, and others. Can't wait to try one out.

I might have to get a Taranis to try out or wait a few more months for them to work at the bugs of the Horus and take that plunge.

The bugs have all been worked out of the Horus since Firmware 1.2.20. No need to wait, it's a fantastic radio.

I read on Page 355 on the thread on RCG that there were still some failsafe bugs but I suppose they could have fixed those too.

I'm pretty busy right now so it's no big deal to wait a bit longer.

I was the one that started the range gathering thread. It's been fixed since 1.2.20 it was a firmware issue stemming from 1.2.15.

If you were on page 355, that's pretty old, it's now up to 552. 355 represent October / November last year, the firmware that fixed the FS bug was released in October 2016 ( http://frsky-rc.com/download/view.ph...e-Horus%20X12S )

It's now up to 1.2.25 which was mostly updates and enhances to the menu's and telemetry based on user inputs into Github. 1.2.25 was released January 5th.

Just keeping you informed so no false or "Alternative Facts" get released. LOL

Ive been flying with mine for about 2 years now. Although nothing bigger than a 60" plane. Its been fantastic. I have flown with a few others who are running them on 120cc planes with the same results.

Yes the learning curve is a little higher than other radios but once it "clicks" youre great.

Has anyone tried the new M9 hall effect gimbals for the taranis? They look sweet

Coming from a JR 9503. Now have a Horus which I am flying with the stock FrSky OS, not open TX (yet). The FrSky OS has been working good for me with the standard learning curve that you would have switching from any system. The radio has preformed very good for me and I have no hesitation putting it into my 42% plane. It will be going into it once I get more RX's.

I'm confused, I thought the radio came with OpenTX loaded not stock FrSky os. When I turn mine on it says welcome to OpenTX and displays the OpenTX logo. I assume that this is not a stock FrSky os. Am I wrong?

Im using an X9D plus and I love it. I used Spektrum before but have no intentions of going back. I have all of my planes on it. Like others have said the programming takes some learning, but once you understand it, its pretty easy. I have not had a single issue with it and would trust it to fly pretty much anything.

I dont get too into mixing and flight modes, my setups are quite basic. I dont like flipping switches constantly while flying. But what I can tell you, is you can program anything you can think up. You are not restricted in any way like menu based radios can be. It doesnt make much difference to me as I dont program much but the options are there. Some of the more advanced programming takes some thinking to figure out, but like others have said there are tons of youtube videos as well as lots of other online resources. In my opinion Frsky makes excellent products and you wont be disappointed.
