Yes, I use both Duralite and Fromeco chargers on all my LI-ION batteries. The Duralite charger will overcharge them if you don't keep an eye on it.

How many times are we going to go over this......

The duralite charger needs the lead from the duralite battery or over time it will overcharge and destroy your battery. It may not be this charge or the next one, but eventually it will and you may not know its happened until you are in the air. So unless you have a voltmeter to monitor your packs during charge you are risking things.

Get another charger like the Ion cube to charge non Duralite packs.

Sorry but there have been at least 5 threads on here and numerous ones on other sites about this topic.

Re: DURALITE CHARGER AND FROMECO BATTERY

Sweetpea's post IS correct....

While the Duralite charger is a fine charger... the voltage tolerances are a bit lax... this is because of the charge safe circuitry built in to the Duralite batteries....

They work fine together...

but over time they will damage other packs...

Straight from the Fromeco site:

Quote:
Using the Duralite charger with our batteries will void your warranty with Fromeco.
This is because the Duralite charger has a rather wide termination voltage range from unit to unit, in our experience. This can result in overcharging batteries that do not have their particular in-pack circuitry (i.e., Fromeco and others). Charging our packs with this charger can lead to cell and pack damage
