Hey guys, I'll be doing an official review on the THMX 35% Extra SC available in the review section when it's done . But after having a drive failure and losing pictures of another review construction, I thought "Why not store my pics on a build thread! FG servers are backed up several times over!"

SO.. here is my progress so far..

Motor installed - Just have to figure out throttle linkage and servo placement.

Cowl mounted....ie. 8 blind nuts installed and glued in...

Gear, wheels and pants installed. Very nice set up. The wheel pants are supported on both size. (But I did have to cut the axels by .5")

Stabs have the Futaba 9157's installed... This is one area I think they could improve. The cutout's for the servo arms seem to be a bit far away. If you use a uni link and their phenolic arms, I think it would be ok, but if you are like me and use solid aluminum arms, you have to open up the holes almost 1/4".

Also.. I have heard the horror stories of composite planes and servo installation. This is not different. The clearances are very tight and you will most likely have to make tools. I know this will be the case for the main wings. I would recommend filing the servo holes before you even start to try and put the servos in. This will save you some annoyance!

Also, I had one stab that the elevator was tight and the motion was smooth. The other had about a 1mm play back and forth. I simply glued a small white plastic washer (the slippery kind) to the mounting area and it's perfect now.

OK.. back at it!

Anyone know a good strong but flexable glue to attach the canopy to the canopy frame? I was thinking of using goop. Any thoughts?

I may give that a try. Does it hold up over time?

Over time, lol, not too sure about how long you're talking about, but it held together when I put my CARF in the dirt completely destroying the airframe. Canopy came out better than the rest of it! I'll definitely use that stuff again on the S'bach.

Sleep, go to any hobby store and buy Zap canopy glue. It's cheap, made specially for what your doing, dries completely clear, is slightly flexible and easy to use.
Use the glue made for that job! Trust me, if you do a half reasonable job , it's not coming off! Hany for other things as well!
Do it! Bonds much better than silicon! (yes, I've tried both on compy's!)

I laid it up in CAD, print it 1 to 1 and see if matches yours. I wanna see how consistent they are.

Full Spool... YEP.. that is exactly what I got. Matches perfectly. And funny enough is exactly opposite of what THMX sent. Glad we used our heads!
