I know it says 2 watts but the techs told me that they were 3 watts. You will also need to buy the socket/holders. Very slim once you snip off the mounting tabs. I used a controller plugged into my receiver and an 11 volt lipo batt

Hello group,
I found this thread and hoping someone can be gracious enough to help me. I have a P51 Bud Nosen kit NIB but it doesn't have the instructions (do have the plans). Can someone please send me a copy. Thank you!

I just checked my Nosen P-51 full kit and while I have the plans there were no instructions.....not sure if they were missing when I bought the kit from the original owner or if any were actually included so I'm hoping you have success and can share ;-)

Hello all.
I too am seeking the build instructions for the Bud Nosen P51D 102" kit. I had purchased the kit decades ago, and now I'm finally ready to put her together, but I have lost the build instructions.
If anyone has the instructions, could I please get a copy?

Thank you,

-Brian

I have that airplane now

I ended up with the grim reaper. Did you build it?? I also ended up with one that has a removable tail and a 3 piece wing.

Hi guys, hoping you can help here.

Today I finally got to taking down my Bud Nosen P51 kit – I have been looking fwd to this for a few years now.
I flew one on a Quadra 35 many years ago (1978) and it was a delight – flew more like a Cherokee than a Mustang but still a very nice airplane to fly.

Three years ago I was given a kit by a good friend – I was eager to build it - this one will fly with a modern 60cc engine and store-bought legs.

To my dismay, two (or three?) sheets of fuse ply formers are missing. I think I have everything else, including Anneco retracts, but I need help with the formers.

The missing fuselage formers are F6; F11; F13; F15; and F16.

If I can get hold of pdf’s, I will make them.

Take care
Steve

P51 Formers

Hi Steve - I don't understand the issue - unless you have no plans. I have plans plus building instructions. It's been a while, but aren't the formers all outlined on the plans, so you can easily trace it on thin ply for a former? I think I did that once.

Bert

Hi Bert - no, not all the formers are on the plans (3 sheets). Of the formers that I listed, only F13 is on the plan. I found F14 - F6 is pretty straight fwd so I can fudge that one but F11 and F15 are tricky - they determine the side curve. . I have made blanks already using the top view to get the width, the side view to get the height (above the 1/4 sq crutch) and the top former to get the width at top of the former. It would be great if I could get more info on those two formers to set the side curve.

Take care
Steve
