I may have missed it, but how many channels, actual controls, do you plan on using?
Well if I can get away with 1 channel for the elevator then 8. Otherwise Iíll need 9 channels. 2 channels for the elevator, 2 Aileron ch, 1 Flap, 1 Rudder, 1 Throttle, 1 Choke, 1 Kill.

This is a good idea I hadnít thought of. Thanks

FWIW I've run the 617 on 2S lipos, no issue.

Good to know for the future. I probably shouldnít experiment on a plane this size though.

I'll go one step further and say this is not a great first giant scale plane. Most people who are flying it worked up through a progression of large planes. Honestly, i see no reason to use 5 receivers, it is not how I would set it up. I also fly some larger gliders and using longer servo leads can be done and is generally not a problem. I am not sure even bill would set it up that way now.

Yes, I will most likely go with the xps 24 and 2 receivers. I was concerned initially with extension length but it was brought to my attention that it won’t be an issue. Thank you

That sounds like a good plan if you are not going to use s.bus servos.
