Here's a couple pics of the canister install. You can see the middle piece of the mount is broke. Now it will sit in the corner of the room until I get the motivation to fix a stupid design flaw.

Might be easier to get to the wing bolts if the cans had a depression in the side of the can on each side.

The canister mount is almost like an afterthought and that was NOT THOUGHT OUT.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Have any of you guy's felt the electronics after a flight with the cans? I was using the KS 3086 cans in mine and the Aura and rudder servo were so hot you could only touch them for a few seconds.

I'll have to check mine the next time I fly mine, whenever that maybe. Noticed the DA120 hub was still quite warm after 30 minutes of being turned off. Also discovered my wheel pants are cracked. 2 flights 2 landings total of 6 cracks. Beef them up too.

wheel pants last longer on pavement than grass. i only use axle hole and then apply black silicon before bolting tight. hold better than screws and has antivibration capability

Do you have an opening in the bottom of the fuse behind the cans? Not this plane but another I have with a can, I had to open it up to let the heat out during flight. Now when you land and the plane sits still you lose all the cooling and the cans will heat soak everything in the fuse, I will usually take the canopy off first thing to let this heat out. Hope this helps.

I also open the bottom of my fuselages on most of my bigger planes without cans too. Keeps the fuse from "ballooning" and gives engine heat in the cowl another outlet, more the merrier.

Just wondering if I should open the bottom of the cowl like they call out for mufflers?
