SCALE R/C FREIGHT HAULING in TN, AL, MS, AR, LA, TX

Hello, I am Scott. I am a 49 year old ex military vet who believes in karma, integrity, God and the golden rule. Was a military radio electronics specialist 5 years. Worked in engineering nearly 20 years overlapping my military experience. FCC licensed ham radio operator nearly 30 years now. Just getting back into R/C aircraft after MANY YEARS away from the hobby. Not really into large scale aircraft (hardly have space for my 30+ small planes right now), but I do indeed know how expensive it is getting to ship large scale R/C aircraft!! I haul WEEKLY dedicated freight loads starting in Morristown, TN on Wednesdays. I deliver near the border in Laredo, TX on Fridays. I return to Morristown, TN on Sunday evenings. My 53ft trailer is RARELY ever full. In fact, I usually return from Laredo with just a few crates secured on skids in the front 25% portion of my trailer. This leaves a LOT OF ROOM for extra freight. I secure ALL freight and have NEVER had any freight damage. Major cities I usually run through are as follows: Knoxville TN, Chattanooga TN, Birmingham AL, Meridian MS, Jackson MS, Baton Rouge LA, Lake Charles LA, Houston TX, San Antonio TX, Laredo TX. I can also ALTER my usual route to go through Austin TX, Dallas TX, Texarkana AR, Little Rock AR, West Memphis AR, Memphis TN, Nashville TN and finally Knoxville TN. I can also route through Shreveport LA and Vicksburg MS. You MUST meet me at rest areas or truck stops with your freight. Only exceptions would be places ALONG MY ROUTE with 100% legally approved tractor trailer access and VERY ACCURATE DIRECTIONS to safely get there. Contact me with your freight hauling needs and thanks for looking. KB1BBY/Scott. (860)-307-2460

Call anytime my friend. Sometimes when I am heading back to TN from Laredo, I see illuminated signs warning about CLOSED sections of I-10 in Houston for construction. So I jump off at exit 720 in Sealy, take a left and run back roads all the way up to Shreveport, LA. Then I continue on through Vicksburg, MS and keep heading toward home on I-20E.

Dream planes...

I'm certain there will be times when I can make it very affordable for some scale guys to get that big dream plane they've always wanted. If I can make a few new R/C friends along the way, even better! I might even get lucky every now and then and score some parts or supplies for my own R/C projects. Once I have a few posted positive feedbacks on Flying Giants and RC Groups, it should become a very good situation indeed.

LOL, ohhhh then you know it all too well. They're widening I10 outside of Houston for all the "vacationers" that go west on the weekends. It will make it better, but may be a long while. Anyways, thanks again....i'm constantly browsing the forums so something will turn-up eventually.

My Wife Sandy and I spent 14 yrs. on the road, and we used to run from Upstste NY. to Laredo a bunch. The last 5+years we burned up I10 from L.A. to miami hauling frozen Seafood. Carried a 40" plane and have flown in 49 of the 50 states.. Sandy and I are also licensed Hams, since 1993.. 73 Roy (W5ROY) Sandy (KC5EGP)

I wish someone that had a route from Florida to Washington would do that there's a big decathlon down there I wouldn't mind picking up

Scott,

I own JTEC/RADIOWAVE and DALTON. We are just outside of Charlotte NC . Not sure if we could do anything but would be interested to see what possibilities there may be. Come October if there is a shootout in Tucson may see if your willing to take a bunch of planes that way and back.

Sometime if you get some free time maybe we can talk.
