Just that the crank broke, (we already knew that but thanks anyway). No other comment on why the intermediate throw would break in half. This lead to why they decided to repair the engine completely regardless of the age.

Dang that's pretty good. They wouldn't replace a failed bearing for me on a 2 year old engine.

There is always more to any story I’m sure. I seem to always be charged for parts at a minimum. All good of course. Just can’t figure out why some people seem to claim repairs were “no charge” and others, like me, always get charged ... albeit a very fare rate for awesome service. Leaves me scratching my head.

It may be due to a direct flaw in a engine part.There not much more of reason for a crank to break in half other than it was bad from the start.I had a 50 that lost the cylinder during flight,cause was the base bolts broke.They used the cases,reed block,carb, all else was new,no charge.
