building a stand off scale ( wr1) race plane

I live 12 miles from e.a.a. museum. I love their racing section. in there is the wr1 by Wayne loving, one of the most unique designs in racing. is now the duplicated design in formula 1 racing that plane called hot stuff. the unique gull wing attracted me.however info on this craft is spare. when Mr loving passed on he donated all the plans the the Wright museum. the only thing I found were a good 3 view layout in a race plane book. from there I designed a 40% standoff scale version of that craft. what did I modify? the wing has slightly more area, the leading Edge is not swept as much. the scowling was slightly increased to accommodate a inline 3 cyl engine. the rest is quite close to scale.test flights are this spring. I'll keep you posted.

I just bought scanned plans of WR1 from the collection for $48 planning to use modified (longer) wings with a Rutan #68 fuselage (with an enlarged T-tail). Currently a back-burner project, as i'm trying to build a Curtiss-Stinson Special as an ultralight (FAR 103).

Any updates on the RC?
