Rudder servo arm

I have a Pilot Yak 54 50cc and I am trying to setup the pull pull rudder. What size servo arm do you need and does it need to be an offset arm. Tried a 3" straight and always have slack one side or the other. Have crossed cables also.

Definitely want 4" arms on a 50CC plane. A small amount of slack is OK.

What you want is an arm the same width as from the left to right horn on the rudder....if it's 3 1/2 inches from horn to horn.. then you need an arm with holes 3 1/2 inches apart
And yes..you need an offset arm

That's almost correct. I just completed a 50cc Yak 54 with the same rudder setup. I spoke with Scott at SWB and he gave me the exact arm and distance from the the servo to the horn. That distance is also important. This was my first try and mine turned out awesome. He explained to me that a 3 1/2" offset arm is what I needed if the tip to tip measurement of my rudder horns are 3 1/2". However, he said the holes in the arm are meant to be less than 3 1/2". He has designed these this way based on a considerable amount of testing. Contact him if you can't figure it out. His cell is 262-675-2848.
