The silence continues???

Whats going on in here?

Nobody loves their new Laser enough to come on here and tell us about it?

This seems a bit weak for a thread on a brand new 35% EF airplane.

Pics/vids/comments............anyone?????

A friend of mine sent me a great video of someones flight today. The video came from the black hole that is Facebook. I think that place will be the end of forums like this if we dont make an effort to prevent it, starting with spreading awareness. Information sources like this lose out and the information goes to a rather unsearchable abyss never to be seen again.....rather than a place like this where Google pulls it up and the content can actually be found by anyone who is looking for it for years to come.

Our first batch is set to arrive the end of next week on the west coast and you better believe the 104" Laser is the first thing I'm building out of the container!!

Iíve just started one. Very nice covering job and beautifully painted split cowl. Iím amazed at the carbon laminated construction . It is very light.

There are only about 10 of them out there. The first shipment was small and only a few have them flying, there are vids on FB of maidens. The weather around me has been so sucky I have not been able to fly anything. However, knowing the next shipment is coming I will be starting a thread on here for assembly, setup, flying of the 104 Laser.

Now to answer your questions, yes I love it. Best flying 120cc plane IMO. If you have ever flown the 60" version, just imagine all those qualities in a 104 frame.

What method did you use for the gear cuffs?

Thanks
Tony

I use foam tac or welders adhesive or similar contact adhesives and get a dry fit with the cuffs, mark that area then apply the adhesive and slide the cuff back then tape it in place. Be sure to wipe off the excess and let it dry overnight.

I used clear silicone bathroom sealant. Slide cuff up mark with tape. Slide it back down and apply a generous amount of sealant the slide it back up.

Didnt realize there where so few in the first shipment..........Im going to be putting a red one together in a couple weeks and will add in what I can. Should have it in the air in like 3 weeks.

Field issues here have been non stop, started wearing me down. I took the last year off. Really hoping this new plane can help reignite the interest.

Has Chris ever released a bad airplane? I wouldn't take a lack of cheerleaders as evidence there is a problem with the airplane.

The number I put out there is a total guess, there could have been more on the container I don't know that number. I am saying about 10 of them are out there flying that I know of. Yes this plane would likely reignite your fire.

I did not think that and I bet Doug does not either, but yes the hoopla has been low and that has been kinda been on me since I had one of two prototypes and wrote the assembly manual, I had some control on the output of information but it will be forthcoming. Once some start flying this plane it will speak for itself. THe last three planes from EF in the 120cc range (Slick/Extra/Laser) have been redefining airframes IMO.
