so why was the blue one so much more than the red one?

Although the red car looks nice it needed a total restoration. It was a running, driving car but the car had paint and body issues. It was also an original yellow car. It showed 120,000 miles. The blue car has its original engine and trans and nice straight body panels. It has about 60,000 miles. Its a well known car in the old car hobby. The wing cars were built for NASCAR homologation rules. This means if you are gonna race a certain body style you must put the same car on the street. In 1969 it was 500 cars and in 1970 it was one for every two dealers, IIRC. These cars suffered from the weird factor and didn't sell well and were not driven much after they did sell. So many of them still have low mileage. All the attention you get from driving it gets a bit embarrassing.

Just picked up this beauty. Original paint, numbers matching never been restored. 67k miles.

1992 flare side ford truck. 302 all original fresh paint.

03 ford Mustang gt convertable. Nothing special. Good daily driver.

And the shop truck. 1951 chevy 3100. 350 bored 30 over, light cam, 700 r4 automatic 4 speed, diSC brakes, power steering. On a s10 frame. Can do 80 on the interstate.

I live a few miles from the gm corvette plant and museum. It's worth a trip over to see.

Those Ford trucks look amazing. I want to modify my truck as soon as I get back home. The last time I made some changes was when I installed a set of KC lights.

I know old thread but....... Cars planes bike just rock. My 82 trans am, had "carb issues" when i bought it but what i found was a golf ball size hole in the oil pan. Put an old 350 in it and now swapping to a 5speed trans and have some vortec heads and a small cam.

For me, technology is a work of art. I admire the designers and engineers who build such modern machines. This applies to both the automobile and various heavy construction equipment. When I go to boomandbucket to choose some equipment for my production, I can not help but admire the complexity of structures, and the way they are made. I can spend several hours looking at a single piece. I read its characteristics and features, as well as what it is designed for and what kind of work it can do.
