Oh Vinny I forgot - 260 had a little in flight problem......tree didn't move in time

Now you all have me looking at Airwild Sukoi - damn forums!

Man that is great you guys are building your own planes, that is the way to go. I love building but just don't have the time right now. Sure would be great to have a NE build thread or two to watch this winter...

Re: Planes for 2009?

I need a new plane. I am thinking of getting this new Extreme Flight Extra 300 123" Wing span
Anyone know anything about this plane? I have heard proto types are around and have been seen in the air, flown and such.
I would love to be able to build my own Carden or Dalton but have never done that. Some would say not to start with a Carden but I dont want anything other then one of the competition planes.

So how hard is it for a beginner to build a Carden or Dalton?
What say you all?

Re: Planes for 2009?

I am building a Dalton now and It is so easy. This is my first time building too. Its going together fast and I am having a blast!
I am tempted to get the Ef 123''er too but I think I will get a second Dalton. I CAN TELL THIS BUILD WILL BE OVER FAST AND THEN i WILL HAVE NOTHING TO DO.
GET THE 1/2 SHEETED KIT !

Neil and I both have threads on our Cardens in the git-r-done forum.

Just spent 2 hours catching up on you and Neil's build threads. Sweet rides.

Depth perception - Though I was well in front of a tree line when playing on the deck, but apparently I was not

I'm glad the red bull yak will live again! I thought it was a write-off.

Sure did Vince. Dropped like a stone from about 40 feet at Farview. Pancaked in hard taking out the landing gear, cowl, tailwheel, prop, etc. I hope to get it back together eventually.
Good luck and have fun building your 260!

Sorry to hear. That is one awesome plane that I know you all spent a lot of time on. Hope to see it flying again next year.
