Resurrecting an old thread. Love reading through here and looking at all the classic birds were built and the ingenuity that went into them for what they had to work with at the time. Thought I'd post a pic of my upcoming project for once I finish the re-covering/building of my Aeroworks P-51 wing. Picked it up last year. Let the guessing begin!

Now what's really neat is with being so old and also purchasing it as is from a guy who bought it in a collection, it has EVERYTHING with it except for the hardware pack, and the jig for building the wood wings. Were the foam core wings something provided as an option with the kit? Or was that a one off? I'm torn on the two for the springtime because a: I don't have the wing jig (there's enough information in the included instructions I can build it upside down and jig/shim every rib and make it straight with a laser), and B: I have done a set of foam cores on the bird I competed/will compete again with soon in my profile pic (2.8m MX2) after building another set of wings (glue de-laminated from the toe in the wing so not chancing it and will be building a new set).

I have a flyer for the Frank Noll/Eagle Aviation biplane, I think I picked it up from Frank at the 1988 TOC.

Oh very cool. Mine came with one as well with the Illusion, One Design and Christen Eagle on it.
