What is the Quietest set up for a DLE22?
I am wanting to set a plane up with a 222. I am not in need of every last drop of power. However. It would be good to not lose a ton in an effort to keep the noise down. My main goal is to have a nice and "pleasing on the ear" ( Not stock mufflers ) I was wondering if any of you have experience with this and would care to share?

Silencer
I use the 5 chamber MJM 350/80 Kanister on the Dle222. This canister are very quiet in combination with a Engel 31,5x16 prop.
With a 3 chamber MTW canister you can hear more the exhaust bang by low rpm, like a „Trabi“ car. Gerd |

Mjm
Hello Ali,
You can find the canister with mjm-daempfer.de and call James Metternich. Note you can reduce the exhaust manifold as short as you can. I have reduced it to 220 mm. I think also the KS Canister from Krumscheid are equal silence but the manifold intake is not central. Gerd |
