john, got a photo somewhere. get a mark 4 if you can. they have the heavy lift struts. a well looked after 2 stroke is ok, but a rotax 912 is better. you dont need a 914. i have an ivo inflight adjustable prop, 3 blade , 72 inch. 912 cost more, use much less fuel. 2 stroke cost less but use more fuel. if flying over scrubb and boulders ,912 for piece of mind. alex

Yeah, but cost is a major factor in the equasion.... Im keeping an eye open, but also selling off some stuff to help afford a good one..
But 98% of all the IV's Ive seen are mid $20k USD and up.. The I's are SOOOOO affordable at $10k-14k.. Ill keep an eye out, we have an EAA fly in up here in a couple weeks, so Ill be scouring there for what Id like to get as well. Thanks |
