The electric version is about the same weight as the gas version Chris has right now, so with that said the flight characteristics will be basically the same. Considering Chris and I have flown the electric version I think we can say what the performance of the gas version will be as well. The gas setup Chris has is 12lbs. with 26lbs of thrust, as long as the setup proves to run reliably it's gonna be perfect!!!!

The reason why I made that comment is that the gas one's are not one there way yet...
even if they are.....the 25F weather has taken the fun out of flying...
I will not be flying a nice aerobatic plane in these Minnesota winters!

That sux! However, many of us will be flying the gas plane as soon as it ships. I don't know my budget in January, but if all goes well, I should be flying mine shortly after it ships.

All manufactures are not without issues in QC dept when you have them made in
China!.... Instructions lost in translation, or some other f-up....It happens to all of them!..
That is of course, IF Chris is going to Build everyone of them??
The thing about having factories in China, if you are not there baby sit'n them EVERY step of the
way, you can be every bit of the victom, as the airplanes you sold to your costomers...

We Are all too f'in lucky to have the planes that we do for how little they cost..us...

If I had purchased a OXAI and a stab ripped apart, because they used some hot glue, or
didn't even place it anywhere? Yes, then I could bitch about it...

After EF started the revolution of the "lock-n-Key" frame work, you hardly need any glue anyway..
I do not have as high of an opinion of AW planes as you seem to, but I'm sure they both will make a great addition to any hanger.

Now, back to this BA bird.

What header are you using? I'm really interested in this setup! I think it could be a great airplane for practice at the local field without the hassle of a 40% airplane, the mess of glow, or the planning/charging all night of electric.

We're in Israel now but will return on Monday. Weather at our place this week is supposed to get to 0F with 50mph winds. I wouldn't be complaining about 25F.
I fly until it gets to about 5 or so. I'll be flying my 58 in the snow this year as well as the EXP.
Guys, as far as the gas version, just trust Chris. The plane is from EF and there's nothing to worry about.

We got 120mph winds last year... I think that all the talk of this just makes us feel worse so enough. ;-)

Re: NEW EXTREME FLIGHT 78" EXTRA 300!!!!!!

what do you think about the DLE-30 for this puppy? i heard you will need to use a tuned pipe.
how difficult would it be to convert the electric version, to gas?
very interested in this one, are they being shipped now?

The gas version is supposed to arrive just after the New Year Is what I heard. The DLE 30 if you can get it to idle would be a good match. I even hear the new Syssa 30 on a Tuned Pipe would be a great choice. I read their getting around 27lbs. of thrust from it.. I believe that's what EF is going to use.. If Chris or another EF rep. would chime in,they can tell you for sure whats up ..

Frank..
