They are the only ones available that are designed correctly. They have a Viton O ring in a groove that does not extrude out when tightened.

Hello Scott, any updates? DO you still manufacture the PSP caps for the Juicy Juice bottles?

With PSP apparently gone, maybe FG can help.

I recently bought a used PSP fuel tank off FG and unfortunately it didn't come with the o-ring. All the o-rings I see at sites like McMaster and others are either made of the harder Viton that people recommend against using for fuel tubing, or are colored (white) which terryscustom recommends not using because the color additives might make it less fuelproof - and I'm not much inclined to go against Terry's advice.

Should o-rings be made of the same soft Viton that our clunk lines are? Or are they typically a bit harder because they're used under compression and don't need to flex like a clunk tube?

If they need to be soft, are there known sources for black o-rings made from that material?

This probably sounds nit-picky but if the consequence is a fuel leak or worse, it's important. I miss PSP!

70-75 durometer Viton should be fine for this o-ring. We use softer durometer, thin-wall Viton for fuel tubing so that it is free to flex and move about inside the tank. That is not the case for an o-ring used in a stationary seal.

American made caps and fittings

Hopefully by the end of this month there will be a new source for water bottle fuel tank caps and fittings.

Thanks guys. And especially to g257945 who quickly offered to send me an o-ring.

BobUSA glad to hear there might be someone filling the gap soon.

The PSP caps and fittings are the ONLY ones that are done correctly. A face seal O ring in a groove of correct dimensions is the correct way. Having a flat gasket that is being crushed is improper and as the gasket crushes the threads loosen.
